Freelancer, Singapore - Product Engineer

AUG 2021 - APR 2022

● Concept generation for productization of proprietary technologies from client companies involving conductive glass and anti-microbial solutions/ proof-of-concept.

● Worked with local In-Ear Monitor (IEM) brand Siglap Audio Works to design and prototype Universal IEM product range. Objective was to optimize ergonomics for asian ear sizes and increase electronic component space to maximise driver count and positioning. Working prototypes SLA 3D-printed for trial and development.

● Manage client expectations and overall documentation to ensure satisfaction on project timeline and deliverables.

ADI Design, Singapore - Product Design Intern - Lead Product Engineer

SEP 2020 - AUG 2021

● Managed, designed and fulfilled entire engineering projects from start to finish for clients such as Singapore Police Force and local Robotics startup Movel.ai (Estimated project value: $25000), creating final customer facing products.

● Multi-disciplinary design work spanning from anti-microbial wearables for Singapore’s largest hotel to development of electro-mechanical consumer products such as scalp-massager and multi-sensory (vibration/light/aroma) anti-vape addiction device, design language integration.

● Undertakened activities such as engineering drawing production, deliverables pitching, rapid prototyping (3D printing/laser cutting) and functional proof-of concept (mechanical systems), expert user testing and quantitative analysis, and working with the electronics team to integrate sub-systems.

HIZAM Project - Integrated conveyor belt FDM printer and heated chamber for printing of engineering-grade materials.

SEP 2023- PRESENT

- Lead team of 8 aerospace and electrical engineering undergraduates to attain milestones and manage progress while promoting team-synergy and critical thinking for competition such as SAFMC Drone competition and James Dyson Award.

- Upgraded pre-existing conveyor belt printer with upgraded parts, heating chamber and developed proprietary carbon fiber-polyethylene oxide conveyor belt for higher adhesion.

- In partnership with Dyson-NTU Studio, secured residency and expertise from PHD students and professors. Attained funding from the James-Dyson Foundation to develop specific use cases for our solution in the form of a modular system for Quadcopter drone/ Helium hybrid drone. (Fusion360, ROS)

Midst Watch Co. - Vintage-inspired chronograph tool watches that focusses on mechanical

computation and functionality

APR 2021 - PRESENT

- Passion project watch microbrand, worked with China-based watch factory to produce consumer-facing manual-winding mechanical watches. In-charge of conceptualisation, CAD modelling, dial design, packaging and CMF development.

- Developing marketing funnel with strategic guerrila social media concepts and organic drive. Conceptualised product life-cycle and customer experience journey with brand.

- Launching in March 2024, with 10 current pre-orders.

REN Elderly Exercise App - GNSS-enabled dementia patient tracker that promotes freedom and confidence to exercise.

JAN 2020 - MAR 2020

- Achieved 2nd-Runner Up in Singapore Space and Technology Institute Challenge using Global Navigation Satellite System technology.

- Lead team of 4 with concept design and development. In-charge of user workflow and human factor interaction for elderly use, reducing affordances and mapping understanding. Produced form factor model and researched on electronics components to create Bill-of-materials for cost calculations.

- Top 5 (Finalist) in the DBS Hungry For Change Sustainability Challenge

- Research and development of a solution for client Koufu to attain their goal of upcycling waste material

while reducing use of plastic packaging.

- Lead team of 5 individuals from NUS and NTU from different academic backgrounds in sustainability and business development to create a multi-faceted system that creates value for all stakeholders, analysing customer journeys to increase retention and habitual development of recycling culture.
